Most of them who not really necessary, but it did give the main characters different dialouge and interaction that was interesting.

The Alan Willis of 1975 was only funny around George. Didn't he look like a cheap version of Vinnie Barbarino?

It was his voice, and his look period that made him fun to watch.

Yeah his look was similars to Vinnie. I just don't understand why he wasn't brought back since his first apperance was so entertaining. Then again maybe he didn't want to return-lol

I think the character of Alan was a bit ridiculous to begin with. I mean one black child and one white child. It seemed over the top.
