Default The Jeffersons~Season 3...

Tonight I went out and bought the 3rd season of the Jeffersons; I already have the first and second seasons on DVD and I was wondering what are the highlights of this classic sitcom during it's 3rd season? Also what is your favorite episode of the 3rd season and what are some of your favorite funny moments?

Best episode of season 3-When George and Louise allow Tom and Helen to help them with their marriage

Worst Episode of season 3-When George wanted to take Flying lessons

I have no comment at this time!

Few weeks ago, I brought the third season at Best Buy; I haven't watch it yet.

I want to buy the first two season first.

I like watching the seasons in ORDER

I've been enjoying this DVD. I have to admit that I like that Mother Jefferson is virtually absent. There is more screen time given to the others as a result. Lionel and even Jenny are in it more (I've only watched ep 1-10 and 12 so far). It is interesting that Florence is now virtually a regular and there is a scene of her in the main titles yet she is still listed as a guest star. Of the ones I've watched so far the only one that is a bit weak is the one where Tom saves George from choking on popcorn. Also the first one where George is opening another store and Louise thinks he has a mistress is a bit illogical to me (what happily married man would rather have his wife think he is cheating than admit that he's working? That doesn't make any sense). Also it's nice that this DVD plays the episodes straight through without my having to constantly forward to the next episode.

One thing I noticed is that some episodes have a scene in the main titles of Louise hitting George and sending him flying over the bed and some don't.

I wonder if they'll eventually release the 80s episodes or at what point they'll stop?

So you are saying some opening credits have the scene with Louise hitting George with the Pillow and some don't?

Exactly. Go back and check and you'll notice this. Most of the shows have the main titles ending with George in his loud jacket coming into the kitchen and knocking on Louise's hairdryer. I also found it odd that the names of the actors don't correspond to the scenes that they are showing at the time. For example I believe that Zara Cully's name appears over the scene of George walking on Bentley's back and Paul Benedict's name appears over the scene of Louise, Lionel and Jenny in the kitchen. No names appear over the scene of George choking Florence. Roxie Roker and Franklin Cover's names appear as the camera pans up to the top of the building.
