Angry Why are you avoiding me?

Okay, I don't really feel like getting into the story, as I'd be typing for 3 days straight... but what is the way to best approach someone that you *think* has been avoiding you? I mean I'm not sure, but I think they are.

And it's really, really starting to get to me. Any advice would be appreciated.

Well, the situation is long, and also kinda personal, that's why I didn't really want to post it =/ but if it helps, I'm really close to them... I mean I know I gotta approach 'em sometime, but like, I feel weird coming out and saying "Are you avoiding me?!"

That's probably what you have to do. Take a direct approach. Most people will tell you the truth when they're asked. I know it's awkward though.

That would be the best thing to do. That way, you let them know what's on your mind, and you throw the ball into their court, allowing them to give you a straight answer.

Good luck!

I feel that way too sometimes, and I don't know what I should do about it either. I feel too shy or embarassed to ever go up to them and ask why they're avoiding me.

But that probably would be the best thing to do.

Oh god...just don't accuse them of anything. I did that...and I was wrong. Oops. And now he thinks I'm ****ing crazy. And I still think he's avoiding me.

*Twilight Zone music playing in the background*

I am going through the EXACT same thing just a few hours ago! Here's a VERY helpful piece of advice I have been told - honestly, BE direct!

If you want an answer then and there, you MUST lay down the cards and actually SAY what is on your mind.

I was given the runaround everytime I would ask serious questions, so I was told by my friends to just ASK directly. I did and got a direct response. Now we have that mutual understanding. So that is cool. Good luck!

eep, I knew that's what everyone was going to say But it's probably what I have to do, too.

I don't even know if they're avoiding me or not. I tend to overreact about things. I'll just be careful before I say anything.

You sound like me on the overreacting part. The best thing to do is use perception checking. It's a neutral way of finding out whether or not the person is IGNORING you or if they're not. It opens up the line of communication, too. Again, that is also about being direct.
