hey all. bet you dont even remember me ive been gone so long. dont think ive been posting since i was 13 (im 17 now)

well i never stopped loving the show. ive just been away due to other obsessions (american idol ) i have a question. im an aspiring film maker, and ive been using my editing stuff to create a little tribute to the facts of life. actually, a large tribute. its been a long project for awhile and i still have tons to do. such as go through all 117 of my episodes on tape and edit out clips to use. good thing i dont lack freetime. well the final product will include a little section for each major character, and sections of random clips. all of the clips are of funny parts. its really just celebrating the comedy of the show, and will keep you laughing throughout the whole thing.

the question i had was, would it be illegal to sell this when i got finished. i dont know much about copywright laws and crap like that. i really wanna share this video, especially after putting so many hours of work into it. any thoughts?

From what you described, without permission for using the clips...yes it would be illegal to sell it.

Giving it away should be fine, but selling could get you into trouble.
