In the ep The General Flipped AT Dawn there is distinct laughtrack laughing during the OR room scene. This violated the show's usual rule against it.

Yes, good observation. I think that was the only time that happened.

Now young Padawan, name as many episodes as you can that had NO laughtrack...

As much as I'm lovin' this show, I hate the laugh track. I don't like laugh tracks period, but they're worse when I know there's no live audience there to be laughing in the first place.

That's why I love the option on the DVDs to remove the laugh track. You're hearing the episodes the way they were meant to be heard...the laugh track was there at the network's insistence. There was a compromise of sorts, as it's more of a "chuckle" track. That was deliberate.

There are a few episodes without the laugh track. The more serious episodes (usually written or directed by Alan) like Life Time had none.
