Mr. Bentley's constant borrowing? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Did Mr. Bentley ever go shopping for the things he needed? He was always borrowing things from the Jefferson's! He even used their stove to make kippers, which did tie in with George's business meeting.

Yeah, I think that in about 3 or 4 episodes of every season, you would see him asking for something strange.

I thought of it like this: Mr. Bently really didn't have too many friends and he always figured out an excuse to go to the Jeffersons apt. so he can visit with them. Now at times, he really did need that stuff, but most of the time he used those goods to invite hisself in to start up conversations.
