The Bar

This sitcom is about a Chicago bar and grill, where the employees and regulars are on first-name basises. The Bar's owner is Elyse Daniels (Teri Garr), who inherited The Bar from her deceased husband. Elyse's son, Tim Daniels (Woody Harrelson) is a bartender. Tim's co-bartender, Mike Reynolds (Tim Daly) and Tim's barmaids, Carrie McCallister (Connie Britton) and Holly Taylor (Traylor Howard) also work with Elyse and Tim. The Bar's regular customers are as follows: the recently laid-off bookkeeper, Ann-Marie Denfeld (Penny Marshall); Elyse's thrice divorced sister, Julie Martin (Mimi Kennedy); and the grumpy and stubborn (widowered) brothers, Chuck Hewitt (Ed Asner) and Jack Hewitt (James Garner).
