Default Best Season Finales (2004-2005 season)

Okay kids, this TV season is nearing the finish line, and quite a few series went out on a high note. Which season finales knocked you for a loop?

Hey TJL, why don't you start?

Why thank you voice in my head, I think I will.

2. "Veronica Mars" This UPN show was one of my favorite shows of the season. The season long mystery of who killed Veronica's best friend Lily Kane was finally solved (and it was a pretty good surprise) and the identity of Veronica's real dad was revealed. A great ending to a great freshman season. Let's hope Veronica Mars isn't a one season wonder...

1. "Battlestar Galactica" Not only is this show miles ahead of the original 70's series, it had the most shocking ending of any series this season. The last minute of the finale really blew me away. I wish a certain other Sci-fi series that got canned this season had such memorable moments...

What other finales made your day?

CSI. That was scary and odd and touching all at the same time. Terentino is weird.

Desperate Housewives, non stop drama in the finale, and we finally find out why Mary Alice killed herself. We were left with wanting more

Less Than Perfect, I think it was a great finale. Hilarious as ever

Smallville, after a crappy season, the show totally rebounded in the finale, it was action packed, well acted, well written, and left us wanting more

Charmed, fantastic finale, probably the best one besides the season 3 finale "All Hell Breaks Loose"

I was sort of disappointed in the DH finale. I mean, I'll be back in the fall without a doubt. But after the weak ending, it doesn't leave me dying to find out whats going to happen.

I do have to say though, Veronica Mars gets my pick as best season finale.

Wait, no, nevermind Arrested Development's season finale was not only the best season finale of the year, but also the best episode of the series thus far, and the best episode of any show, since "Maris Returns" on Frasier in the fall of '03.

well, it was sort of a weak cliffhanger. Does anyone watching really think James Denton is going to leave?

24 and CSI had the best season finals IMO.

DH was great too. I'm also looking forward to Lost but that don't air until tomorrow.

IMO it wasn't weak, I mean anything can happen when Mike walks through that door, Susan could get shot, Mike could get shot, Zach could get shot, we don't know. I thought it was a good cliffhanger

I agree, I think we should have actually heard a gunshot or something to have us wondering who got shot.

I think a cliffhanger with Carlos, John, Paul, George (why doesn't the show have a Ringo? lol) or someone else would've had people more on their seats. James Denton is way too popular a cast member for the show that I don't think anybody is worried that him or Susan are in any grave danger. Even if Mike gets shot, we've already seen him go through that before.

Veronica Mars - awesome episode, i only wish that I had gotten into this show earlier

CSI - GREAT story, this show is still on top for good reason.

Charmed - this was a good episode, a good season finale, and would've made a fitting series finale, but it leaves too many questions for how the show will continue...

Arrested Development - loved it, I hope this show starts picking up ratings soon

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition - AMAZING, I really enjoyed this one.

Las Vegas - really not the greatest finale; too much emphasis on the "who's buying the Montecito" story

Medium - I can't STAND it when they have a season finale that isn't so much a cliff-hanger as a "to be continued..." episode; I love this show, but this wasn't a substantial enough storyline to make fans wait until next season for the resolution.

LOST - will probably be AMAAZING. correction, it BETTER be amazing, or I am gonna be PISSED pissed:

So I won't anger MsOrange and the other Gilmore Girls fans on the boards, I would like to add the season finale of "Gilmore Girls" to my list as well.
Nothing like a marriage proposal in the last 5 seconds of the episode to shake things up...

I got that impression as well... after all this talk and hype about this "massive cliffhanger", it was to, put it mildly, lame. Come on... Teri Hatcher and James Denton are not going ANYWHERE. I was fully expecting to hear a gunshot when he walked in the door. THAT would have at least been a little better.

If ABC's promos of "The biggest cliffhanger of the season" are correct then Lost is going to SUCK tomorrow.

I'm not sure if next season's gonna be that great. I'm anxious to find out about the new family's secret, but the guy who plays George is back and I can't stand him. I am going to throw something if he worms his way back into Bree's life.

Don't get me wrong... I LOVED the episode(especially the Susan/Edie scene at the door and the court scene), but it felt like a normal episode. If it hadn't been so hyped up, I wouldn't have said anything about the boring cliffhanger.
