Default BREAKING NBA NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!

76ers fire coach Jim Obrien today. I don;t understand this at all. The 76ers made the playoffs and was knocked out by the THE DEFENDING WORLD CHAMPIONS. So why would he be fired after one season?-lol

Your in Philly, you should know better than me, but I thought the star players didn't like him, and the NBA is all about the players. O'Brien is not enough of a "star" to outrank the players.

Well the GM for th 76ers wanted Cheeks in 2003 but he was still under contract with Portland. But it wasn't like the 76ers had a losing season. Billy King is ********. He said Cheeks has a better understanding of how the game should be played.lol Billy King has made two moves in 2005 that shocked the hell out of me. First Webber and now this. I hope I don't ever turn on ESPN and find out A.I was traded

He's a Philly legend so that helps. Also he helped that girl finish the National Anthem which is worth an NBA title in my book.

That's true. Since Larry left in May of 2003, The 76ers hired Randy Ayers in June of 2003. Then after 52 Games the 76ers fired Ayers in Feb of 2004. Then they gave Chris Ford head coaching duties until the remainder of the season and then hired Jim Obrien. And Obrien was only fired because Mo Cheeks was fired by Portland. If Cheeks was still coaching the Blazers, Jim Obrien would still be working.

We'll see how long Maurice Cheeks will last with the Sixers. Iverson said he was so happy to have Maurice as the coach, he wanted to kiss him LOL. LOL@Cleveland Cavs hiring Mike Brown as their new coach hahahahahahahahahahaha. I've never heard of the guy. I heard he was a assistant coach to Rick Carlisle for Indiana Pacers. The Cavs signed him to a 4 year contract. I bet he will only last 2 years. Paul Silas didn't last long with the Cavs & he got more coaching experience than Mike.
