On all the info of bandstand i've read it said in 1964 it moved from philly to hollywood. If this is true how come in season three, which extends through 1966, the show is still in philly?

Indeed the show did move to LA in February of 1964, but if the show had followed history of Bandstand to a script, then the whole Bandstand thing would have been over before the first season was done. Also, Bandstand was a weekly show in the 1960's, not a daily show as it was between 1952-57. I suppose had American Dreams lasted more seasons, and the girls gotten older, this issue could have become an increasing problem for the producers.

I thought that was probably the reason they didn't address that in the show. Also i didn't realize bandstand was portrayed as daily in american Dreams. I do remember in season 1 though that the dancers were told they couldn't dance after they turned 18.
