Spin-Off Called "Checking In" - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

In 1981, CBS created the spin-off series, Checking In where Florence worked at a hotel. Does anyone know where I might be able to get episodes of this series? I'am really desperate, and I 'am willing to pay $$$. There were only 4 episodes made.

I've probably got the pilot ep on tape, but from what I remember it wasn't all that good.

I think you should purchase only one episode because i seen the pilot which is a Jeffersons Episode and I was saying over and over "WHERE IS GEORGE AND WEEZIE"??? BAD Spinoff.

It wasn't bad because George and Louise weren't in it. It was bad because the writing was subpar.IMO

The Florence character needed the George character to keep viewers entertained which is why I will never understand why Florence was was spinned off. That's like giving a show to Aunt Esther, and Willona. The same way Aunt Esther needed Fred, and Willona needed Florida and James, is the same way Florence needed George and Weezie.

And to go one step further, even though the Jeffersons lasted 11 years, George and Louise were still better when they were with Archie and Edith. Too bad Norman Lear didn't cross pollinate like Paul Henning.

Paul Henning produced the CBS 60's rural shows Beverly Hillbillies, Petticoat Junction, and Green Acres. I know they don't belong in the same class as Norman Lear's shows, but the point I was making is that they cross pollinated the characters between shows during their later years, which I wish we had seen more on Norman Lear's shows.
