Default ABC Family

Since 8 Simple Rules got 3 seasons, can we expect to see it on cable??? ABC Family should definately pick it up, I mean they have picked up comedies before that went less than 4 seasons. Plus the USA Network use to show all kinds of comedies that lasted less than 4 seasons back in the 90s.

Default ABC Family

I pretty sure it will pick up 8 Simple Rules for a 4th season since its not coming back on ABC's fall lineup, so they will put the show on ABC Family for sure.

I really hope that ABC family will pick it up on a decent time in the afternoon or sometime around then.

I'm sure some cable channel will pick it up, probably ABC Family.

If and when ABC Family picks up 8 Simple Rules it will be the first three seasons of repeats. There would be no new shows.

There aren't going to be anymore new episodes THE SHOW IS CANCELLED. ABC Family isn't the type of network to pick up a show and pay for new episodes to be made, they're not as big of a network as ABC is, so they wouldn't have the money to do that.

I haven't heard of shows being cancelled then coming back, but I have heard of shows being picked up by other networks. For example, in 1985 NBC cancelled "Diff'ren Strokes" and ABC picked it up. In 1990, NBC cancelled "The Hogan Family" and CBS picked it up. However, once these shows made the move to another network, they lost something and didn't survive. The same thing happened when ABC cancelled "Step By Step" and "Family Matters" in the late 90's, and CBS picked them up.

I couldn't imagine ABC Family picking up the show and making new episodes. It would be nice if they would, but I don't see that happening. Also, I think if another network decided to air it, it wouldn't do well based on how other shows performed when they switched. I would like to see it on ABC Family (or another cable network) in reruns.

Unless another network picks it up its dead and it doesn't look like thats going to happen. ABC family or any other cable network will just air reruns.
