Default POST ALL BLOOPERS HERE!

Hey guys,

I want to build up the "Bloopers" section of the Mama's Family area of my website- so far, it only has one blooper that I spotted way back in 2003, which is pretty pathetic.

What I want you guys to do is gather up all the bloopers that YOU have discovered -- if you read about any bloopers, point me in the direction and I will see if I can get it put up on my site. Once you guys have gathered up the bloopers, PLEASE be as specific as possible. What season did the blooper occur? Which episode? How far into the episode is the blooper in when it occurs?

I will credit accordingly -- let me know what screen name you would prefer me to credit you by and if you want to leave contact details with me, that sounds good.

So many of us, but especially Mrs. Blooper Queen herself - Penny Lane - have found bloopers, but they're scattered all over. I want to get them all together here in this thread so that I can put it up on my site and of course, credit when it is due.

I will be stickying this thread so that we can all post in here as we find more bloopers over time.

Let me think............. So many!

There are many of them relating between the NBC and syndicated episodes. One being in the gooseberry jam eppie Mama states that Eunice was her third born but in later episodes Vinton is the youngest.
There are a couple of instances where Mama refers to Fran as her baby sister(only a few years older than her own children) but in a few cases Fran is referred to as have been there along with Thelma in some childhood memories( where Fran supposedly saved her from drowning at camp) This was in the eppie about Fran's will. and there was something about Fran making her hot chocolate(can't remember the eppie, sorry)

Oh many many more. I'll get back to you after I think about it.

Just thought of another! While Thelma is talking to Carl at the cemetery she mentions how he and she would visit her mother's grave. Carl has been dead for 11 years and in another episode Fran was carrying on about having to live with her mother until she died 1 year before she moved in with Thelma

And then there is the Thanksgiving episode in which Naomi and Vint supposedly cleaned up the mess in the dining room( from the tree crashing through the window ) in time so that they could have their dinner. No way! That mess would have taken hours/days to clean up!

There is one episode the one where Mama thinks she's losing her marbles and she says something along the lines of she used to iron with one hand and mash potatoes with her right hand while she had four screaming kids under foot

but on most episodes they only refer to her having three children, Ellen, Eunice and Vint

Also in the episode where Vint thinks he was adopted and the old con artist is his real mother, they mention his birthdate being in May but in the lotto BIG WHEEL game his birthdate is March 12

in the episode when the Harpers babysit the Reverend's grandson, when the grandson kicks the Rev. in the leg I can swear that the word the Rev. uses sounds like "Oh S**t"?! That's what I hear, anyway. Maybe he got kicked TOO hard! LOL

In the episode with The Courteous Crook, after Mama and Iola knock out the crook at Quick Keys, Mama holds the big key and says "Alright, you deadbolt, spread 'em"

Here's one that may be incorrectly reguarded as a blooper:

As pointed out in the NBC eppis Mama's House looked quite different than in the syndicated eppis,,ex. there was a big window in the livingroom in the NBC eppis but it was GONE in the syndicated years.

In a syndicated eppi, Mama has a flashback to when she was pregnant and the house STILL had the same structure as it does in the present day syndicated eppi, the window was NOT there.
In the flashback shouldn't the house have looked like it did in the NBC years with the window there...

I know it prolly doesn't count but I noticed stuff like that when I was a kid

Default Mama's Bloopers

I just found 2 in one sitting, one is in the 6th season when
The Family has an intercom put in the house, and at the very
end when Mama is fixing lunch and talking to Iola, she just
hits the TALK button to get the family inside, when she
should have pressed the button marked " Porch" and then
talked. But as far as i can tell, she only hits one button,
but hits it twice.

And this one is from the Second season in the eppy
"Black Belt Mama" when Mama joins the self defense
class, and thier doing the stretches, and Chuck is
say now to the right, now to the left, theres
a time about the second or third time he says that
he says " Now to the left" and they go left, then
the group goes back to the right, but chuck never
said anything about the right, then he says " Now
to the Left" again, then they go back to the left.

Thats all i can find for now!

Default Bloopers

I found 2 more, that i think are bloopers, in Season 1,
Alien Marriage, where the family is all sitting around
the table, and Mama ask who wants to go see her
husbands grave, and Sonja, says that she's just going to
hang out, and Mama doesnt know these terms, and after that
she asked Fran what she's going to do, and she says that
her boy friend is going to take her to this garden, and
Mama says " You have been ' hanging out' at that garden
for 5 years now." if she didnt know this term then why would
she use it?

And the other was in Black Belt Mama, when she first walks into
class, she says " Good Lord, is this what you get for coming in late?"
well right before she talks, you can see the microphone going back up
abover her, so the camera doesnt catch it, but they were a
bit too late.

And thats it!

Are you sure it isn't "mess around" that Sonja says?

you know the episode where thelma is talking to carl at the cemetary and thelma finds another woman next to carl's grave.once thelma hits carl's headstone with her purse on the right side, the left side jumps up a little bit & I don't know any headstones that once you hit it, it jumps so it has to be a prop for the show which it cannot be a real cemetary but ususally they show scenes in real places in shows & movies.

At first, there were two teenagers. Later on, there was only one, thus freeing up a bedroom. Why did Vint & Naomi still stay in the basement?

Speaking of the original two kids, was there ever a mention of what happened to them? Seems like they just disappeared.

You're not alone, that's what it sounds like to me, too.
