I saw that this one guy was talking about UM on a site (not a UM one) about his more memorable cases. He said something about a case he could remember a bit. He called it Straw Man, although that might be a descriptive name for the case rather than the real one. He said it was about a criminal who escaped from wherever and hid inside someone's barn. He said in order to hide, the man created tunnels in the straw, making a series of tunnels inside the hay in someone's barn. He also said there was an update at the end, saying they caught the fugitive.
I've tried searching for 'straw man' and related things, but can't seem to find anything at all. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this segment, to confirm it as real. If it is real, I was wondering which episode and if it's on any of the sets? Thanks a lot. |

Hey! The only story I can think of that remotely resembles that is the one of John Burns. The story is on one of the pre-Stack specials. He was dating a widow woman named Eleanor Farber (I think) and she found out he was married and broke up with him. He soon after shot and killed her. He was found years later and his real name was found to be Wilfred Cashman. They did say in the segment that he had hid in Eleanor's barn in the days and weeks after her murder.

I guess the guy was mistaken, or maybe it was a different show. Does anyone remember this from AMW or something?
