Exclamation Dorks Unite - Midnight Star Wars Anyone?

I have to admit, I'm going tonight at midnight to see Episode III.

Even though I have been highly critical of both other prequels - which I also went to see at the midnight show- I am a glutton for punishment.

Who else is going to deprive themselves of sleep to give Lucas some early cash?

See Star Wars at midnight I will not. See it later when less crowded it is I will, yes!

Nope. You couldn't pay me to stand in line at midnight for any movie, especially Star Wars related.

I would never stand in line either.
(just the short walk to my seat).

I already have my ticket.

The main concern is the lack of sleep and being eyeballs deep in dorktown.

Not me, but someone who works in an office next to mine said that he and a bunch of co-workers would be attending a midnight screening. He asked me if I would be doing that. He didn't know that he was asking someone who hasn't seen any of the previous five Star Wars movies at all.

I've had my tickets since 22 April. I'm getting ready to leave in a bit (the theater I'm going to is an hour away.) Going to grab somw dinner then go stand in line for a few hours with a good Star Wars book!!!

May the Force be with us all!!!!!

I'll be going to see it tomorrow. You should come back and give us a thumbs up or down as to how you liked the movie.

Yoda? Is that you? :multi

My aunt wants to see it with me on day one, at midnight. She says it is an experience like no other. I refuse. Personally, I maintain simply going to the movies is sufficiant experience for me. I will not lose sleep over this. I will not be squished by a mob of Star Wars fans on the first day.

A second day flattening will do me fine!

TOTALLY THUMBS UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man it was great. Everybody was talking through the trailors, but when the Fox trumpets sounded it got so quiet in there. Then up on the screen those famous words appeared......A Long Time Ago, In A Galaxy Far Far Away..... Then quiet. You could hear people saying "wait for it" (yes I was one of them) Then all of a sudden, the music starts and those famous words appear STAR WARS!!!!! The place went absolutely NUTS!!! We were all cheering when Yoda was fighting, and in tears seeing Anakin turn. There were so many ups and downs in this movie. R2 is definately the comic relief in this movie. All in all, it was great. Tee Lightsaber duels left me breathless. When I saw Vader on the screen in full outfit, I got the chills. IT was great.

By the way, if you see the movie...see if you can spot George Lucas. He does a cameo in the movie.

I am so pumped up still (just got home) but I need to sleep b/c I'm traveling tomorrow. Y'all have a good weekend.

The movie was excellent! This is by far the best Star Wars Wars movie since Return of the Jedi. Not exactly for young kids, but alot of action. Hayden Christiansen stole the show. The movie puts you on an emotional roller coaster. Even though I knew the ultimate outcome, I found myself rooting for Annakin to stay good. Great movie!!!

Sorry, didn't like it.

And the lack of sleep forbids me from bitching about why.

Better than the last two, but just... not good.

Aww, c'mon don't leave us hanging. I am really curious as to why you didn't like it. Everybody I've talked to loved the movie and I would love a different perspective of why the movie wasn't good.

I really need to see it again to give a good, solid opinion.

I was way too tired that night and was miserable the next day.

I should be fair.

I just saw the movie and I loved it. It is the best movie since Return Of The Jedi IMO. I loved how they transfered Anakin into vader and The Chancellor into the Emperor. The battle scenes rocked and I thought the acting was much better then the 2 previous movies.
