Default Star Wars opening weekend predictions

What do you guys predict the new Star Wars movie will make in it's opening weekend?? I'm guessing it'll be around $110,000,000. With all the promotion it's gotten over the last couple weeks, I think anything under a hundred million would probably be considered a disappointment. I think it'll probably get $170,000,000 in it's first five days. I doubt it'll break Titanic's all time record, but I think it'll end up making around $500,000,000 in the end, making it the second highest grossing film ever. How do you all think it'll do??

I'm sure it will have large numbers. I'll admit it though, I'm not a fan.

I'm not much of a fan either. I actually haven't even seen the last two films in the series, and thought the original three were overrated. Personally, I think it would be kind of funny to see it bomb, but I know that won't happen.

I read a review of the movie in USA Today and it got 3 and a half stars. It said it would make up for the last 2 movies which I liked although they were not even close as great as the original 3. I can't wait to see it.

I've never seen any of the Star Wars movies, a former coworker of mine is supposed to hang out with me and watch the first two of the newer series and then he's taking me to the new one. I don't really care about the movie to me it's all about the company LOL!

I'd say around 150 mil this weekend. Ten of that will be mine. Maybe 20, my brother and I might see it twice.

My brother will probably go see it atleast 10 times I'm sure. He's one of those fans who buys every piece of merchandise that comes out. I'm sure he's spent close to 10 thousand dollars on star wars merchandise over the years. Just last week he went $500.00 in debt purchasing stuff on ebay, and with all the new crap coming out, I'm sure he's not finished. The more I think of it, I think the chances of this movie beating Titanic's all time record is pretty good. The same way pre-teen girls went and saw that film over and over again, I'm sure there will be Star Wars freaks who will do the same thing with this film.

Attack Of The Clones was a relative bomb for the franchise (well, it felt like a non-event compared to Spiderman and LOTR that year). Revenge Of The Sith is the installment in the franchise we've all been waiting for since Lucas said he'd made more Star Wars.

I don't mean literal freaks, I just use that word to describe anyone who's fanatical about something. Myself, I'm a movie freak, and an ice cream freak, Whereas someone like my brother I'd call a star wars freak. No offense was intended for any star wars fans out their.

Hopefully TJL you don't dress up like one of the characters. Sorry but those people that do, are freaks.

150 million is alittle high considering the record is 114 million. (Spiderman)

I think in the first 6 days it will reach 150 million though.

Thursday (opening day doesn't count for the weekend because its not among fri, sat & sun) so thats going to hurt it. I think midnight showing for tonight (wednesday) it will gross a good 6 million. My predicitions give or take 5 million from each day.

Midnight: 6 million
Thursday: 32 million
Friday: 39 million
Saturday: 36 million
Sunday: 31 million

125-130 for the first 4 days. 106-111 million opening weekend.

I saw some pictures from a premiere of Revenge of the Sith and Natalie Portman had a shaved head. Does anyone know what that is all about? I expect the film to at least pull in $100 opening weekend.
