Has anyone ever seen this old show that gave Bill Cosby his acting start? I used to kind of laugh at the idea of Bill Cosby doing drama, but he was very good in this show and the show was excellent. I just saw an episode on DVD with he and Robert Culp acting out a scene in front of one of the seven wonders of the world in Tibet and they weren't just standing in front of a piece of film or a cardboard cut out, they were actually there at the shrine, walked right up to it and touched it. They must've had some budget because that series filmed episodes all over the world. The Cosby Show episode in year 3 with Robert Culp as Cliff's friend who survived a heart attack is just a taste of what I:Spy was like.
More sitcoms should be built around actors who can (when necessary) do serious dramatic work). |
