Default 52 Pick Up

This is another old movie i saw yesterday for the first time. It came out in 86 i believe & it starred Roy Scheider, Ann Margaret, Vanity, Clarence Williams III, Kelly Preston. Roy was a wealthy businessman who owned a factory. He was having a affair with Kelly & Ann was his wife. Three guys tried to blackmail him to get some money from him. Clarence was one of the blackmailers. Vanity was a stripper model & she got half naked in one scene when she was talkin to Roy because he tried to get some info from her about Kelly's death since Vanity was Kelly's friend. I like the ending of this also. Ann Margaret was very attractive back in the day & so was Vanity. Clarence always plays crazy characters LOL. He's a good actor though.

I love that movie. It's a good psychological thriller.

Not a very pleasant film, but I do remember it.

John Frankenheimer who directed 52 Pick Up also directed Reindeer Games with Ben Affleck, Charlize Theron, Gary Sinise, Clarence Williams III. I like Reindeer Games.

WHOO-HOO! Vanity! I taped her videos from VH1 Classic! Pretty Mess, Under the Influence, Drive Me Wild, He's So Dull, and Seventh Heaven!

I still have her poster rolled up and stored in my closet!

You a Vanity fan too? I used to have a crush on her when i was a kid after i saw The Last Dragon movie. As a matter of fact, i rented The Last Dragon about 3-4 weeks ago because i hadn't seen it in a long time. She was so hot in that movie. I remember her Pretty Mess song. I saw the video a few times on VH1 classic also. I got her Nasty Girl song on cd. I also got Action Jackson movie on videotape. She was lookin good in that movie too. I emailed her awhile ago & she emailed me back twice. She told me she didn't want me to watch her old movies because they bring back bad memories. She wants to forget her old life. You should check out her website denisematthews.com. Her email is denise@denisematthews.com. She still looks beautiful today.

Yes, I've visited Denise's website several times. I've been waiting several years for her autobiography to be released. She specifically told you that you shouldn't watch her old movies? One thing I don't understand is if she wants to forget her old life so bad then why is she touring the churches talking about it? I'd just live a quiet private life if I turned my back on the industry. I believe she could've still been a very successful actress and singer after her illness if she just cleaned up her act (ditch the sex goddess image) and maybe went by her real name. She does have a pretty voice if given the proper material.

I didn't know she was speaking at churches talkin about her old life. If she wants to forget about her old life, she shouldn't talk about it at all. I've sent her emails before & she didn't respond back because i figured that she didn't like what i had to say to her about her old life. I told her that i wish she hadn't done drugs. Nobody forced her to do drugs. She did that on her own. I'm sure she's been to a lot of celebrity parties back in the day where people was doing drugs & she wanted to be accepted so she started doing drugs. That's how it gets started. People see other people doing drugs & they think it's cool so they do drugs to be accepted. It's really pathetic that people have to do what other people are doing just to be considered cool because they're afraid they're gonna get laughed at for being different. Let them idiots laugh at you if you're different. Them fools ain't living your life for you. Denise does have a nice singin voice but she always carried herself like she was a sex goddess. Prince has a lot to do with how her image started. He produced her music back in the day & i'm sure he told her he wanted her to have that image so her music would sell. Since she probably didn't know anything about the business side of the music industry, she went along with what he said instead of having a mind of her own & saying i'm gonna sell myself another way. I would like to buy her autobiography book if it ever came out. I didn't know she almost died from a drug overdose.

I read this article on her in Vibe magazine a long time ago. She was talkin about how she first met Prince. She said she met him at a club. He came to her & introduced himself. Then she said he asked her if he could try on her coat LOL. She said no. So she told him she had to use the bathroom. She said he followed her to the bathroom & he wanted to go in the bathroom with her hahahahahahahahahahahahaha. When i read that, i couldn't stop laughin. Prince is a weird muthaf**ka. What kinda way is that to make a first impression on a woman? Hahahahahahahahahaha. I bet if Prince would've never became a singer, he wouldn't have any women talkin to him LOL. I'm not saying he's ugly. I think women think he's handsome but he's weird. I think he wants to be a woman LOL. I remember he used to wear high heel boots & makeup LOL. He probably still does LOL. What kinda man makes a song talkin about purple rain? Hahahahahahahahahaha. I've never seen another man wear purple but him.
