Will there ever be an official "Lucy Show" dvd release? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

It seems like all you can find is bootleg DVDs of poor quality episodes. You would think they would put out a nice cleaned up official version. I would like to have all of the early Lucy and Viv episodes together.

It sucks Lucille Ball will only be remembered for her work on I Love Lucy and not the other great shows she has done. IMO The Lucy Show was her best work and I hate that TV Land isn't airing this show.

i guess we have to wait till they are finish releasing i love lucy and lucy and desi comedy hour on dvd

And this may not even happen, since CBS owns ILL & Lucy/Desi while Paramount owns TLS, though those companies are in the same corporation ultimately, so maybe it will happen eventually. I'd love to see some earlier eps again, not just the PD Hollywood-based eps.

.....when THEY feel there's a "public demand" for it.

A year or so should reveal the correct answer...by that time, Warner Home Video will have released their "HERE'S LUCY" episodes (if they haven't, already!), so we'll have to wait patiently......
