Personally, I don't think that "very attractive" does her justice...

In fact, using the decade by decade boards on this website as a guide, I've come to the conclusion that not only was Barbara Eden the most beautiful woman to grace sitcomland at the time IDOJ was on, but I don't think anyone's come along to top her in the looks department even since then...even though there've been a lot of beautiful women in Sitcoms over the years..

Anyone else agree with me? If anyone's come along to top Eden in the looks department, I'd sure like to know who she is...

I don't know about her being the most beautiful, but she certainly always was a beauty and still is!

I agree 100%. Barbara Eden is certainly the prettiest. I tried to think of someone prettier but couldn't. Mary Tyler Moore, Elizabeth Montgomery, Tina Louise, Donna Douglas--the list goes on of attractive women in sitcoms, but no one compares to Ms. Eden, in my opinion. I don't think there's a woman even currently on television who's as attractive as her.

Tweety posed the question of who's the most beautiful women in sitcoms. Charlie's Angels wasn't a sitcom, otherwise she'd get my vote too as she's a real beauty.

Marlo was pretty all right, but I gotta go with Barbara Eden on that one...

Mary Tyler Moore (from the DVD Show), Lori Saunders (Bobbi Jo from Petticoat Junction) were also very beautiful...I'll try to think of some more, but I agree with Tweety, it don't get much better than Eden!

From a female perspective, I can say that she gives me hope that being thirty-something doesn't have to be all that bad; i.e. you can be in your 30's and still look good. Being a year and a half away from 30- I really dread it. So watching great role models like Barbara Eden can and probably will keep me from being depressed about it.

She had that combination of exotic innocense and a totally hot body that makes me feel like a dirty old man. <sigh> Of course, Ms. Eden is older than I am, so I am over it.
