Default Scrubs - a midseason replacement for 2006???

Sources are stating that Scrubs will not be on the Fall Schedule and will be held back until 2006 as a mid-season replacement after the Winter Olympics. I guess we will have to wait and see what happens later today...

--------------------------------------------------------------

With the Tuesday and Thursday comedy blocks already stacked, sources said NBC will hold returning comedy "Scrubs" for a midseason return, probably post-Olympics. Series that are gone completely from the peacock's '05-'06 lineup include midseason comedy "Committed," dramas "Medical Investigation" and "American Dreams" and, most surprisingly, "Law & Order: Trial by Jury," the short-lived fourth spinoff of the Dick Wolf's enduring cops-and-courts franchise.

That really stinks If they cut back on all that reality garbage, they'd have some room for some decent TV shows.

Maybe they'll do for Scrubs like ABC does with Alias, bring it back in January and run it straight through May with no repeats

im a little miffed but on the other hand it might help win viewers after all look what happend with crossing jordan people had more or less forgotten about it and then it returned it midseason in 03/04 and was a hit all over again the reason tihis might also work for scrubs is that when viewers get a look at the crapfeast nbc has this fall the viewers who have never seen scrubs might finally check it out and discover what we fans have known all along that its a great show the only problem i cant figure out is how to get back the viewers who are going to be chased away by shows like my name is larry

NBC Recuses 'The Law Firm' After Two Weeks
By Brian Ford Sullivan

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) --
NBC has quietly yanked its David E. Kelley-produced reality series "The Law Firm" after just two weeks on the air.

Repeats of "Will & Grace" and "Scrubs" are set to fill the Thursday, 9:00/8:00c hour this week and next according to scheduling updates released by the network today.

A lackluster 5.08 million viewers tuned into "Firm's" premiere on July 28, building off its repeat lead-ins "Joey" (4.22 million) and "Will & Grace" (4.37 million). Said numbers dipped to 4.04 million (or 20.47%) for its second episode on August 4, according to preliminary Nielsen data, down from both "Joey" (4.36 million) and "Will & Grace" (4.09 million).

It's not clear if NBC plans to reschedule the show's six remaining installments for a later date or burn them off on cable sibling Bravo, which has been repurposing the episodes.

Kelley, David Garfinkle, Jay Renfroe, Jonathan Pontell and Robert Breech are the executive producers of "The Law Firm," which comes from Renegade 83, Inc. in association with David E. Kelley Productions and 20th Century Fox Television.

Kind of a dumb move, but not unexpected. What's weird is that "Scrubs" is starting to hit a new level of popularity after its DVD release, and now NBC decides to make it a midseason replacement? I wonder how they're going to fit those 22 episodes into five months. 22 straight weeks, or 11 straight weeks with two episodes each, "Committed" style?
