I'm curious as well because I've missed the last few episodes. I heard they sent Eric to Africa to accept a teaching job?

Eric is going to teach in Africa because spending a year there will help him finance his college education. Kelso, well they haven't dealt much with him yet, but it seems that he'll be moving to Chicago to take care of his kid.
