Default Has anyone heard from Jonathan Prince lately?

Has he gone into seclusion? Has he made any statement yet on NBC's likely cancellation of the show? In the back of my mind I am hoping that he is secretly working on a way to save the show either for another network, or syndication.

Looks like they are out to kill West Wing now! Another of my favorite shows. Time for NBC to shake up some of the programming staff.

Well, unless the WB is going to pick it up, I guess it's officially over.

Sad I'm soooooo sad!!!!

I am just in tears, this is so awful. NBC is stupid and I don't think it will matter if we boycott, but doesn't it only count if you have a stupid nielsen ratings box??? The only other NBC show I even watch is ER, so there's not much for me to boycott anyway.
This is my favorite program of all time and it's just so wrong for it to be gone.
A very sad AD fan,
Jilly

geesh. thats too bad. for some reason, I'm not as bummed as I thought I'd be though. I hope that the WB would pick it up though. Anyone heard anything about a special to tie up any loose ends?

Nope... the WB rumors were just that, rumors. It's not going there since WB has basically leaked out what shows are on it's schedule and which aren't, and if AD was going to be there, you would have heard about it by now. Here's what Kevin Reilly said about the cancellation today:

"It just becomes, unfortunately, the contradiction of America, I guess," Reilly says. "People say they want quality, family-friendly shows at 8:00 and yet you put them on and what they really want to watch is 'Desperate Housewives.' Ultimately, we are in a business here. We love the show... It just was not pulling the ratings to really justify the cost of the show or to justify another year on the schedule."

Show producers have said next season is likely the last of "The West Wing". The show has really gotten old and the majority of the viewers left years ago.
