Just found this site. So glad to know there are others who are as interested in the show as I've been all these years.

Am just sorting through all the messages and can't get over all the stories I hadn't thought of in ages, but once you hear a piece, it all comes back.

A couple that I don't think have been discussed, but I'm curious about, are....the murdered priests, I know one was in Montana and I think he was new to the parish, the other was out west somewhere, New Mexico maybe? Anyone have any info or updates?

Another one, is one that until recently I thought was the Dale Kerstetter case, but when I recently saw the Kerstetter story I realized I had it mixed up with this one. The one I'm thinking of also takes place in a factory, an employee (I think) is missing and one possible clue is a large hot vat of something had a temporary spike in temperature, so they thought perhaps a body had been dumped in it. Does this sound the least bit familiar to anyone?

I use to live near Mason City, Iowa. Does anyone recall the news anchor Jodi Huisentruit who was abducted on her way to work early one morning? That took place there. I'm afraid there are no new leads, and a few years ago her mother and sister had her declared legally dead.

Hard to believe there are so many cases that go unsolved.

At any rate, I'm just glad to have found this site.

The employee found dead in a vat was David Bocks. The incident occured in 1984. I believe the segment is in the show's Bizarre Murders DVD box set.

I recall the Jodi Huisentruit case. You can find her profile at the Doe Network site (doenetwork.us). A lot of other missing persons who were profiled on UM are listed there as well. Her name isn't hard to find through google.com, since Huisentruit is obviously not a common surname.

I think segment about the 1982 murder of a Catholic priest is spooky, especially since it mentions the 1984 disappearance of a Montana priest. The 1982 was in New Mexico, if I remember correctly. I will look through google.com to see if I can find anything related to the cases.

Hi, welcome to the board. I remember Jodi Huisentruit. She actually used to be a news anchor in my home state of Minnesota before she went to Mason City. The case was in the news somewhat recently, as someone came forward with some information. I don't think that anything big came of it, though. Let's hope they find out what really happened.

Yes, in December '04, they looked at a house where a man who was one of the last to have seen her lived at the time. But didn't come up with anything.

There has also been a drive to ask for pledges for a reward fund. There had been a fund started shortly after her disappearance, but that was donated to a scholarship fund set up in her name at St Cloud State.

It'll be ten years next month, I'm not sure the case will ever be solved, but you never know.

I'm still enjoying going through all the old posts. There's never been another show that holds a candle to UM, and I still hold out hope it'll be revived someday. Mr Stack was the best, but I think someone new could succeed if the producers return to the early days of the program, and the host keeps to the script, which is what I think made Stack so great. He kept it simple.
