Default Mena Suvari Files for Divorce

Actress Mena Suvari Files for Divorce
May 11, 4:58 PM EST

Associated Press

Mena Suvari has filed for divorce from cinematographer Robert Brinkmann, her husband of five years. The report by Us Weekly magazine was confirmed Wednesday by Suvari's publicist, Melissa Kates.

The statement said Suvari is claiming irreconcilable differences as the basis for her divorce petition, filed Tuesday.

Us Weekly said the court papers were filed in Los Angeles.

Brinkmann, 43, and Suvari, 26, eloped in March 2000 just after the actress had turned 21.

The couple met while working on the cheerleading comedy "Sugar & Spice." They recently collaborated on the upcoming "Standing Still," a film directed by Matthew Weiss.

Suvari's screen credits also include "American Beauty," two "American Pie" films and "Beauty Shop."

What a shock.

In my opinion, I think someone can have a lot in common with someone much older than they are. It just depends on the people in the relationship and how dedicated they are to each other. Just because there's a twenty year age difference between two people in a relationship doesn't mean they dont have anything to talk about or that they can't relate to each other. It just depends on who they are. But that's just my opinion..

Cool! She's a cutie.
I'll bet she'll be tearing up the party curcuit in no time flat. And in her spare time maybe make a few more movies.
