Sad Andy Turppa - retrofan1982@yahoo.com - why aren't you responding to my emails?

Hi,

I have been trading with Andy Turppa, retrofan1982@yahoo.com, drnobelprice@yahoo.com.
----
Andy,

After I sent you money through Western Union you have been unresponsive to my emails. Is something wrong? Have you sent the dvds yet?

Thanks,

Patrick
(my email: alienxg7@yahoo.com)

Default I think RetroFan got me too...Damn!

Patrick,

I think we may have been a victim of the same scam. Retrofan1982@yahoo.com sent me an email indicating that he had a set of shows I desperately want (Billy 1979 starring Steve Guttenberg.) He only wanted $20 - provided I pay Western Union. It cost me almost that much to send the money, but I figured what the hell. It was worth it. I didn't think about it. I just did it.

I sent him several emails after I sent the money and finally received a response a day later saying that he had sent the tape. That was last week. Still no tape. I suspected at the time that it was probably a scam but I have been holding out hope that he was for real. I read your post tonight and my heart literally sank. Its not so much the money - its the betrayal of trust. He probably trolled throught the site looking for people In Search of - sent them emails and then trapsed down to Western Union to collect his ill-gotten booty.

Here is the information he gave me:

Andrew Turppa
San Francisco CA

I hope I am wrong about Andrew. But, I think we have been had.

Tom

Yeah, he tried the same thing with me, but I wouldn't tade with him until I found some references. He told me He would send first and then I never heard from him again. I kept on e-mailing him and he wouldn't reply. HE IS A BAD TRADER.

I asked for a reference and he gave me one: comeandfindme30@yahoo.com. He said this guy's name was Jason. I emailed Jason and got a response. However, I knew that this didn't prove whether he was a good trader or not because that email address could have simply belonged to Andy or someone he knew.

Retrofan1982@yaho.com (aka Urkel_2003) emailed me last week to tell me he had something I was looking for. Since I had not heard back from him by yesterday, I posted on this board that I had not. Then, I got a private message apologizing to me that he had not gotten back to me and asked if I was still interested. I replied that I was, and I'm still waiting for him to get back to me. I sent him my trade list, but like someone else who posted here about him, he will reply that there is nothing that interests him, and will ask for payment in the form of Western Union. He hasn't gotten that far yet, but I suspect that it will end here, after he reads these messages.

The name and address "Andrew Turppa, San Francisco CA" is probably bogus. Urkel_2003 lists in his profile that he in New York. Which is it? Scammers give as little "correct" information about themselves as possible.

once again--refer to rule a in internet business

western union equals a scammer

an honest dealer, goes through paypal and thus offers the buyer the protection that paypal rules define

why doenst a guy go with paypal---because he has something to hide---duh

i do have a question, why does a scammer bother with a $ 20 score, hardly seems worth it

That's correct Loren, but to answer your last question, probably because most people don't think twice about sending someone $20. If it was much higher, you'd want some assurances before sending the money.

Angry ANDY TURPPA = BAD NEWS read this, his own words!!!!

Ok i got taken too, but i didnt lose any $, Andy Turrpa, retrofan, has so many posts here, i emailed him and asked about some shows, he gave me dirt cheap prices, like $100 for 125 discs, which seemed suspicious, and he told me he could ship the next morning, also suspicous, and he only took western union,
i said ok ill do it if u give me a phone # and home address
he gave to me and i said id get back to him
the next day he IMs me to say, he allready sent them out EXPRESS OVERNIHGT to me
and asks me to western union asap, so i call his phone # and it is fake, so i tell him i need the tracking #, he "accidentally threw it out", so i said i would pay him once they come, then he stopped responding---
the dvds never came, his info was fake--- finally i threatened to pursue him legally and he sent me this email

"Okay I apologize. I don't have the DVD's. The only reason I did this is because I figured it was an easy way to make some quick cash. I'm glad you never sent $100 because I would have felt bad about screwing you over since $100 is more than the average amount people have sent me, and because it has happened to you before. It's just that I'm homeless right now and on the streets of San Francisco and I use the computers at public places and well I want to get back home to NY. That's the main reason I started doing this cause I tried getting a job and nobody will hire me in this city and I was just so frustrated yet I never actually made enough to get home but enough to get a hotel room for the night every once in a while. I'm sorry for all of this I don't want to get in trouble, but if I do I deserve it. Email me back. Im glad you never sent that money."

So do we beleive he is a homeless guy who gets online and rips people off at the library? hmmmm seems like more BS, but if u were ripped off by him---email him at once and demand a refund, this is crazy!!!!

NOTE TO THE MODERATOR--BAN THIS THIEF!!!!

I never heard of that one, but if you are asked to send a Western Union payment, it's probably a scam.

Default Got ripped off

I got taken by this guy too. I sent him via Western Union for Family Matters and Full House but never received the package. He said he had mailed it but after reading the posts I already know the answer.

Ban this deadbeat

Its ok I dont need any info on this guy after all,as I will not be dealing with him, he emailed me and was very ticked off that I posted this message above, I told him that this was standard procedure for traders on sitcoms when they have not ever heard of someone and did'nt mean it as an insult but that did not calm him down so he said he did not want to deal with me and thats just fine by me.
