Lightbulb Episode 22... the one before the finale "Goodbye for Now" 5/15/05

The one that is going to be impossible to miss... against my other top show: Survivor... ugh.

Announcer: Next Sunday, It's an all-new Desperate Housewives
Susan: Mike and I are moving in together, see ya
Announcer: The elements are off
Susan to Edie: You wasted your time and your doughnuts
Edie: Not if you choke on them
Announcer: The claws are out
Annabel: I choose... Tom
Lynette: Can I cut you... a piece?
Announcer: and a bun's in the oven
Gabrielle: I'm leaving you
Carlos: This baby needs it's mother and it's father
Gabrielle: Whoever said you were the father?
Announcer: Now that's desperate
Rex to Bree: I think I'm having a heart attack
Bree: No your not
Rex looks at her strangely
Announcer: An all-new Desperate Housewives, Next Sunday, 9/8 Central only on ABC.

DH will beat Survivor again. This time by a lot. CBS can't do Sunday finales anymore with Survivor. It worked before, but not this season.

I agree with all of that. DH is building up to the finale and we'll probably see series highs next week(higher than this week certainly). Yes... I hope CBS won't do this anymore.

Of course DH will beat Survivor, but the Survivor finale starts at 8PM, so the first hour should do decently. The 9PM hour will sink with DH.

But as a huge fan of both, I'll be watching Survivor. I can always tape the DH finale but with DH coming out on DVD this fall, so...

The 1st hour will win, there's no doubt and the final hour will probably be close.

I will be recording DH and watching it right after Survivor.

DH or Survivor, IMO there's no contest, DH all the way

But your not a Survivor fan... Survivor and Housewives ARE my two favorite shows. I can't pick between them(back in December, this was an easy choice to skip Housewives), but not now.

Why in the world did they decide to put the Survivor Finale on Sunday anyways? Are they that cocksure that they'll win the ratings race? They must have realized that since it's the second to last episode of DH for the season that DH would mop the floor with Survivor

I think it was decided before DH became such a hit... before it came along, Survivor would kill everything. I hope next season it's back to Thursdays.

I thought they'd done a Sunday episode this season and got killed then too? That's why I'm surprised they put the finale on Sunday

Yes... in December. I think execs had decided before that to have this season's finales on Sunday though. I don't know what they were thinking otherwise.

Survivor has two seasons... September-December and February-May.

People who are fans of both Survivor and Desperate Housewives have to go around this logically. Record DH and watch it after Survivor ends. The 9 o'clock hour of Survivor is the most important.

I know... the winner will be announced just as the episode is ending and the preview for the finale airs. It's going to be IMPOSSIBLE for me to avoid DH. Ugh...

I know... I said I wouldn't, but I just couldn't keep from watching(most of it).

What a great episode... a lot of unanswered questions going into the finale.

Best scene by far was Susan and Edie's confrontation at Mike's house.

GEORGE NEEDS TO DIE!!

Poor Rex and Bree.

I hope Mike gets Paul... I really do.

I wasnt home until about 8:30, so I recorded Survivor and watched Desperate Housewives.... I think it worked better this way. I like DH much more.
