Default Records by Ralph Carter

Does anybody have any of the records Ralph Carter made? Are they sort of a funny collector's item? They show up pretty cheap on Ebay. Were they disco?

"When you're Young and In Love" by Ralph Carter actually went to #95 in the top 100 in 1975! Wow.

I have the album '...Young and in Love'. It is a tribute collection if I'm choosing the right phrase. He sings songs from motown greats disco style.

Judith Cohen should've released a 45 with the clown songs. They could've gave it a picture sleeve that stated: As seen on the CBS hit series "Good Times" starring Esther Rolle and Jimmie Walker" or something cheesy like that. Judith could've worn her clown collar for the picture.

Ralph could sing.Maybe under the right circumstances, he could have been a hit maker. But not singing those songs like he did for the cab drivers in the final season.

Yeah that song he sung for the cab drivers was worst than the song-"when you're young and in love

I am no singer, but I was not impressed with Ralph Carter's singing in the rent party episode. I thought it was about rent party quality. James had no ear for good singing.

Thank u Brieannas. It was obvious that John Amos and Esther Rolle were proud of him no matter what. You could tell they really enjoyed his singing and they looked at him as if he really were their young son.

Also I found this on the net, just for your information:

Song Name Artists who have performed this song
Send In The Clowns

Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, Judy Collins, Acker Bilk, Danny Wright, Grace Jones, Placido Domingo, Christopher Peacock, Sondheim, George Shearing, Side By Side, Tony Rice & Carlini, Canadian Brass, Milt Jackson, Eric Reed, Lou Rawls, Little Night Music, Cleo Laine, Johnny Hartman, Ferrante & Teicher

I knew of the Judy Collins version and Frank Sinatra but i didn't know GRACE JONES (Yuck!!!!) had done a version too!!!!!!!! OMG
