Default Oh My God. Fred Savage's involvement in the Michael Jackson trial

Well this was certainly a shock.I was going to post this at the Wonder Years board, but it deserves more exposure, and i figure more people will see it here.
I couldn't believe it...

Savage Turnabout in Jackson Trial
By Matthew Strachan
LONDON – The highly publicized trial of Michael Jackson took an unexpected turn yesterday as the defence revealed it would call Fred Savage to testify. The 28-year-old former star of the hit TV series “The Wonder Years,” currently promoting a TV film in Europe, is expected to appear in California next week.
European press interest in the actor’s testimony has yielded striking comments from members of Savage’s entourage and potentially key information which, it is thought, may serve to alter the tenor of the trial completely.

Some journalists covering the trial anticipate that Savage will testify to having visited and stayed at Jackson’s Neverland ranch in the early 1990s as the success of “The Wonder Years” was waning. Jackson is believed to have invited Savage to the ranch to help him through his difficulties. Friends of Savage have indicated, however, that what occurred at the star’s theme park is a far cry from the kind of events Thomas Sneddon’s prosecution have been hoping to portray.

It is suggested by media insiders that having been persuaded by Jackson to drink wine from a baby cup, Mr Savage—then in his mid teens—became agitated, asking for more wine and insisting that the singer make girls available to him. Jackson is thought to have refused, preferring instead to talk through his young guest’s troubles.

At this point is it believed that Savage became physically and verbally abusive toward Jackson, attacking him with the back of a wooden hairbrush. Former employees of the ranch are expected to testify that they heard vigorous slapping sounds coming from Jackson’s bedroom for several minutes before bodyguards entered the room and pulled Savage away from the yelping superstar, whose thighs were already visibly swollen.

Former members of Neverland staff are also expected to give evidence to the effect that Mr Jackson was unable to walk facing front for several days and that he was forced instead to employ his Moonwalk to remain mobile.

For now the mood among press remains anxious amidst rumours that Judge Rodney Melville may refuse to allow any media representatives within one kilometer of the Santa Maria courthouse on the day of Mr Savage’s testimony.

In related news, Fred Savage’s recent movie, “The Devil Within,” received a tepid response at Sicily’s Taormina film festival.

That's interesting. I never even heard of there being any connection between the two of them before.

A lot of Hollywood child stars seem to be coming to his defense and yet I still find it hard to believe he is innocent. None of them would admit anyway if Jackson did do anything to them. Thats just the way it is.

Yep, You're right. I saw an interview with Macaulay Culkin on Larry King not too long ago. Whenever Culkin was asked a question about Michael Jackson he kept trying to get around it as if he didn't want to talk about it. If something inappropriate did happen, I think the last thing he would want to do is admit it, especially while trying to revive his career.

all of these testimonies of people who used to go to the neverland ranch are so circumstantial.
