I started watching Wings sometime in the summer before the 6th season started. The first episode I remember seeing is the one when Antonio. Alex, Lowell, and Roy were trapped in the cab with Carlton Blanchard.

I was in grad school in the early 90s and not too long after I finished, I worked nights for a while so I rarely got to see Wings. I do remember seeing There Once Was a Girl From Nantucket (where Brian sets Joe up with the "easy" girl) and then I can't remember anything else until "Here it is, the Big Wedding." I will never forget the first time I saw Joe with his hand in the toilet.

The first ep. I saw that really got me hooked was "Who's Wife is it, Anyway?" Pt. 1. I kind of figured out that Joe and Helen were made for each other, even from that one little scene when he came to her house to congratulate her on her engagement to Lynch. And I remember worrying in the back of my mind the next day about what Helen would do next. That was when I knew I was a fan, when I actually cared what happened to these people! LOL.

It was during the summer of 03 or 04, and I was on the internet waiting for Three's Company to start{at that time it was on at 3a.m.) . I was flipping channels and there was nothing on, so I left it on Nick at Nite and this great show was starting. (It was the episode where Antonio took Bob jelly donut, and Bob went nuts) and was hooked afterwards... From that moment on, I was addicted to Wings....

It was the "Ladies Who Lunch" episode. There was this guy I liked and I was over his house and he put Wings on. He was commenting on how hot Crystal was. So I basically started watching it because he watched it. Well, he has come and gone, but I'm still watching Wings!!!

Ironically, it was the pilot. That was in the summer of 2003 I believe.

I started watching for a total guy reason: I thought Alex was hot. This was around January of 1996 when Wings was on USA. I was flipping through and saw Alex and started watching her episodes only. But in doing so, I found out how great the writing was. The main ep that did it was the Clint Black one.
I kept waiting for it to get back to Farrah, then all of sudden I was hooked to this guy Brian's scam and waiting for when it would blow up in his face. The line I distinctly remember getting me was after he spilled the drinks and Lowell goes "Way to blend!" |

You know, I still haven't seen that episode. I recorded it off TVLand when it was on the other week, but I haven't had a chance to watch it yet. I'm looking forward to Memorial Day weekend when I can just be a couch potato and transfer my DVR recordings of Wings over to VHS (keeping my favorites on DVR, of course!). |

I remember watching the pilot and not being very impressed so I stopped watching. It was several years later before I watched again. This was the episode where Antonio and Helen got married. Not knowing the characters or the background story, I thought it was another cheap "marriage" fiasco episode. Again, not impressed. But since Wings was next to Cheers I began to continue watching and as I got to know the characters I fell in love with the show and found myself laughing at every episode. Wings quickly became my favorite show of all time. Proof that first impressions can be deceiving.
