I think I've finally lost all interest - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I have almost zero interest in ER nowadays. The only characters I care about anymore are Carter (who's leaving) and Susan and Luka (who seem to have become wallpaper). I find the rest of the main chatacters and their lives uninteresting. I've been watching lately mostly out of habit, but I hardly find it enjoyable anymore.

I know what you mean. I stopped watching regularly after Alex Kingston left and the new batch of young, pretty people came in. I'll only tune in now for an interesting guest star, so I've seen the ones with Frances Fisher, Cynthia Nixon and the miniature horse.

While I don't care about some of the current characters now as much as I have done in the past, I think this season has greatly improved on the last two! And although there are young, uninteresting characters, many of the episodes have actually been really fantastic, with good story-lines, especially IMO 'Alone In A Crowd'...so I continue to watch ER despite the fact Alex Kingston has left, Laura Innes is hardly a character anymore, and there are pointless characters (besides, there always have been - anyone remember Cleo or Chen post-return?)
