Default My Mom's being ridiculous!!!

Forget the spelling.....anyway, I'm trying to go on a heathly diet. Just Special K for breakfast and that's it.

Anyway, my Mom's trying to make me eat at least 1,200 calories a day!! She made me eat a salad tonight with rach dressing, cheese, AND bacon!! Or I'd miss American Idol. Now she wants me to go eat more rice, but I'm not going to (she doesn't know).

Geez, doesn't she know how it feels to be fat and trying and trying to lose weight??!!!!

Sorry, I had to post this! My Mom's being pathetic!! Trying to make me eat more so I can be more fat!
I'm 99 pounds now (I went to the doctors two days ago), I don't feel like gaining it back and gaining more weight

Nik - how often do we have to go over this!! You are a growing girl. Growing girls need calories that their body burns and uses for that growth alone. 1200 calories a day for a girl your age, height and weight is very reasonable. Enjoy it. And especially if you're exercising like you are. Now shuddup and eat and do what your mom says!!! You know I'll tell ya straight now!! tough love!!!

Well, I can't disagree with your mom here.

To be healthy, a girl your age should eat ATLEAST 2000 calories a day. You're still growing.

No 13 year old girl should be dieting unless she's obese (which again, is for her health) - just as you eating the required calories as long as you're exercising - you need them to grow. You complain how short you are - well - whaddya expect?

That's just a myth. I know the facts, and what you're doing ISN'T right. Not eating enough WILL make you gain weight. you're still growing, and you need at least a few thousand calories a day to be healthy.
