Default It is Time TO BRING SUZANNE IN FROM THE COLD

FOR PETE's SHAKE PEOPLE IT IS 25 YEARS AFTER THIS DISPUTE. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE FRIENDS WITH SUZANNE OR EVEN LIKE HER. BUT SUZANNE IS A BIG PART OF THE LEGACY OF THE SHOW. IN my opinion it is the crew and some of the cast that are wrong now. IF THEY STILL REFUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE SUZANNE THEN SHAME ON YOU PEOPLE!

For your information, she was approached many times to say a few words(to be included) in the interviews, she declined due to her busine$$ as usual in wanting to get something in return for her time speaking about John. SHAME IN HER! All the others(cast mates)willing gave thier time in speaking about John, why couldn't she give her time as well? Isn't HSN paying her enough money these days? I have no respect for someone who apparently is still so money hungry as she is.
Also, Susanne, was never part of the 'Three's Company' legacy, it was John John was the first person you saw in the beginnig of the show, the first name in the opening credits, period!

I always thought it was time to put the Suzanne Somers feud to rest. She is a part of Three's Company and always will be. I never thought she was right to do what she did but it isn't like she murdered anyone. 25 years is to long to hold a grudge.

Well, apparently things with her still haven't changed, so with that said, why should I like her? I never watched the show becase of her, I watched it becase of John and John only.

I totally agree with you. At first, I didn't like the idea that she wanted a raise and was fired, but after I found out about how the producers were hiding the spin-off from everyone, I realized that they weren't so nice.

Hey dude,

I, like you, was trying to give Suzanne Somers the benefit of the doubt. I thought her absence on these DVD sets (which are wonderful by the way) was criminal and inquired whether she was simply not allowed to participate. Chris Mann, a fan/expert on the show who is involved with the DVD interviews and extras that are offered for each season, had this to say when I inquired about Suzanne's absense:

Everyone else who interviewed did so with no strings attached, and most, if not all, interviewed to pay tribute to John's memory. (Ann Wedgeworth flew in from New York specifically to do so.) Suzanne, unlike everyone else who was approached, wanted something major in return as a condition of her possible participation. I won't disclose the specifics or say anything further, but I can assure you that, sadly, this was busine$$ as usual where she's concerned.

I just felt that you, the audience, should know this. Enjoy the show.
So there you have it. It isn't anyone from the show (be it the cast or the producers) keeping her away other than herself. She simply wants to make mucho money off the thing and won't participate at all, even to honor John with a short interview.

Sorry, I am a fan of Suzanne's and have tried to support her post-Three's Company, but she is clearly out of line. She's a greedy pig who's trying to make a buck from the passing of one of her 'supposed' dear friends. What if she had passed away from her bout with cancer? If John were still here, I highly doubt he'd refuse to speak highly on her behalf unless he was paid for it. He'd have enough class than that, and so should she.

I've stuck up for her before when people would castigate her for what happened in 1980, but I simply can't defend her now. I'm not in favor of bashing her per se, but I do think she's callous and heartless for not even giving 2 minutes of her time to pay respect for John. Nope, no way can I defend that. She isn't the victim here.

I, as a fan, am disappointed in her. I'm sure John, wherever he is, is disappointed in her. Heck, I think Chrissy Snow would be disappointed in her.

We are talking about what happened in 1980, not now. I always knew Suzanne was money hungry and thought she was the true star of the show. Everyone with any brain knew that John Ritter was the real star of the show. Nothing you have said has changed my mine about her. If you are angry about what she did with the DVD's then you have a right but I don't feel like rehashing all of this again. I like all of the stars of Three's Company. Unfortunately sometimes what you see on the screen is not what you get off of it. I'm just tired of all the bitterness. Its just to bad that the chemistry everybody had on tv couldn't happen off screen as well. But I guess thats life...

Well, anyone from the show who tries to forgive and forget what happened in 1980 will probably still be hacked off at her for what she's doing now. So I think it does have relevance.

With John gone, the show's former castmates and production team felt it would be appropriate to come together and remember what was good about the show, and then she turns around and did what she did. It's hard to forgive and forget when the one who hurt you is still exhibiting the same behavior that hurt you in the first place. But this time, it's deeper because she couldn't even put her money hunger aside to honor John.

I think there's a bunch of things that the cast & crew is upset with her about. It simply isn't about what went down in 1980. She has since made many public statements in the present day about the dispute that many of the show's personnel swear are not true. Things that make both cast & crew look bad. This just adds fuel to the fire, doesn't it? Why would they forgive and forget if she keeps fanning the flames, keeping the conflict alive?

I do like Suzanne. I am a fan of hers. I watched her in the show Step By Step and would buy that show's DVD set if it ever saw release. I've bought many of her books as well. I'm not saying she's the devil or that she should be banished from the industry. But I do think she's shown a lack of taste and compassion, especially where it concerns her 'beloved friend' John Ritter.

She should have put John Ritter above $$. And if not for him, then for the fans. She must have known what it would mean to the fans of the show to have 'Chrissy Snow' participate even in the most minimal way. The fact is, she still chose not to. That to me is much more offensive than anyone still harboring a 25 year grudge against her.

I think this also explains why the rifts may never mend. Some of them probably don't care to have anything to do with her. Given the circumstances, I'm not sure I would either. Would you?

I agree totally that it is sad how she apparently wanted money to do something like that. In fact, when Suzanne got ill a few years back, John was out there speaking in support of her and saying how it makes everything from the past irrelevant, and I'm sure with no strings attached, despite her being mostly at fault.

woah... woah... its getting a bit out of hand.

here's the facts-
she's a good actress, i like her work.
...but i was saying that since the 5th season was mainly featuring jenilee, she deserves most of the credit for that season. shes approached on the spot and asked to fill a role for God knows how long, which would be however long it would be until suzanne came back or a permanent replacement took over, and at the end of the season is fired, and then demanded to stay on the show until the end of season six. this was all while suzanne was money hungry. and now not paying tribute to john unless its a paid gig?

im sorry, but these are the facts like em or not. jenilee was a bigger part of season five. she was used as a main character throughout most of the year, while suzanne was used for the occasional cameo.

I really don't think that if John were still here, that he'd want to be paid for saying a few words about Susanne (if the shoe were on the other foot). John wasn't like that at all, greddy like Susanne is and always will be. I have no respect for someone like her.
