No, I liked Fresh Prince better than Friends.

I can never understand why Friends was such a huge hit, yet other sitcoms that are actually funny, struggled in the ratings.

Default fresh prince of friends

out of the two fresh prince. friends was so overhyped and not as interesting and funny. and i agree with you how come most sitcoms last 6, 8 or fewer seasons and yet frasier and friends can last 11 and 10? lets just say just because a show went further as 10 seasons doesn't mean everyone likes it. and besides the fresh prince had the better characters, storylines and humour. friends was funny in places but not consistently funny like fresh prince. it is by the far the most overhyped and overrated show i didn't see what all the fuss was about.

i am glad though it wasn't on air for as long as friends and fraiser though because if it did, it would have stagnated and got stale- just like those shows

no, it wasnt fair that friends lasted for 10 years, however im glad that the fresh prince lasted only 6 because they were stale by then. so i feel the fresh prince ended just in time.

I would definitely pick Fresh Prince over Friends. I always felt that Friends was little too over hyped.

I do believe, however, Fresh Prince ended at the right time. Will Smith was getting into movies heavily and the show would have gotten bad if they would have went on any longer.

I never fully understand the appeal of Friends. I think it was a show that came at the right place/right time sort of thing. I did watch some and hardly smile. Fresh Prince to me was far better and I think even had better dynamic.

I would say The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Will was funny- Hillary was stuck-up and winned ALL the time- Ashley was out-spoken- And little Nicky was soooo cute. The rest of the cast were excellent!!

Fresh Prince is far superior. No contest whatsoever. It was a top quality show, whilst Friends was one the worst pieces of garbage ever to hit the airwaves.

Not good at all. Even James Avery said in an interview they could've gone 3 or 4 more years.

There were still some VERY funny episodes the last season. It's too bad that Will Smith couldn't have somehow stuck around just a couple more seasons and fit his movie work around the Fresh Prince schedule.

Michael J. Fox did that on Family Ties when he did hit movies at the same time.
