'Size Machine' Helps Find Perfect Fit
'Intellifit' Uses X-Rays, Measurements DALLAS -- A new so-called size machine is helping clothes shoppers find the perfect fit. A Perfect Fit The "Intellifit" device, which has been traveling to malls across the country, takes an X-ray of the body and gathers 200 measurements. "It definitely alleviates women of the time, energy and effort they spend in search for the perfect fitting jeans, dresses or swimwear, " device representative Elizabeth Bannister said. But the device also works for men, customer Dan Doggendorf said. "They said 40 [waist] and that's what this is, so they nailed it," he said after trying on of a well-fitting pair of pants that Inellifit recommended. The size machine also suggested styles that Doggendorf would never have tried, but that resulted in two perfect fits. Elyse Munselle said she found similar success. "I have long legs and a short torso, so trying to find jeans that fit is hard," she said. Intellifit may be coming to a mall near you. The last thing I need is something that analyzes my measurements more closely! YIKES!
