Sad oh god

I had the worst dream about John last night...it was so heartbreaking. For some reason, I was hanging out with him and the cast of 8 simple rules-- except we were ALL a big family(like, John was my Dad, Katey Segal was my mom, the girls were my sisters, etc) All of a sudden John had a heart attack right in front of me and died...and I had to watch it all happen. And it was a thousand times more painful because I thought of him as my dad(well, he was in the dream anyway) and I felt so helpless to stop it.

Let's just say I sobbed in my dream and woke up equally disturbed and depressed

Does anyone else have dreams about a cast member, good or bad?

Oh my god, I'm so sorry you had that dream. But don't worry, I've had some of those dreams too. But all my dreams are of John, whether they're good or bad. I always like to dream about him though, and they're usually good. In my dream, I sort of live with John because I'm trying to find movies to play in Hollywood and stuff. But anyway, John is like my second dad because we're so close, and I'm also close to Amy and the rest of the family. Usually though, he doesn't die - but sometimes I dream that Amy calls me and says that he's in the hospital or something, and I get to visit him right before he dies. I hate it though, so I try not to dream of that often.

I have dreams about John ALL the time!! There are three dreams I remember the most and in those dreams, he tells me that everything is going to be ok.

One dream, was about the day he died. I was with John and Amy and we walked into a hospital. John was holding his chest in pain and Amy went off to fill out some papers. I started crying because I knew what was going to happen. I knew that in my dream, it was Sep. 11 and John was going to die. But they didn't know that. I went to go sit down while John stood over me. He tapped me on my shoulder and when I looked at him, he smiled and quietly said, "Everything's going to be alright, sweetheart".

In another dream, John and I were driving around the town I live in. John was driving and I was sitting next to him crying. He then squeezed my shoulder twice and I looked at him, and again, he smiled and said "It'll be ok". The rest is a long story, but we ended up spending the day together hand-in-hand.

There is one more dream, where he tells me I'm going to be ok, but it's an even longer story. And it hurts enough writing out these other dreams, that I just don't want to get into another one.

Oh my god, that sounds like some of my dreams - sort of. I had one where it was like I was time traveling or something, and I knew that John was going to die on September 11th. But I remember that I was trying to tell him that he was going to die, and he needed to see a doctor so he could live. I don't remember what happened after that though..

I've had so many dreams about John after he died. The one dream I had of him where he was sitting at a very long talbe covered with a white talbe cloth( colud've been Heaven) and he was younger like his 'jack Tripper' days, I even think that he was wearing one of the outfits from the show, and he was either smiling or laughing, but it was so fast, like a falsh. But I've also had dreams of him where either I was trying to get to him, and couldn't (or) someone else was getting in the way of me getting to him(which was rather annoying). I even remember of having a dream where I was hugging him, and his wife(amy) walked in and saw us, and she seemed mad, why I don't know, but I wasn't mad over the fact that John didn't go after her when she walked out. To tell you the truth, if I can remember, his back was turned to her so he really didn't see her walk in(but I did), I know sounds mean .

Awww, I'm sorry Kristel. I HATE having dreams like that (And believe me, I do have them).

Want to know something really creepy? On the night that John passed away (the night of September 11th, remember that I didn't find out about his death until the next day) I had a dream that I actually met John. I actually shook his hand and everything. Then when I found out the next day that he passed away, I was even more creeped out.

Wow, that really is creepy. Sometimes though when I'm alone in my bed or something, it feels like he's there. Like, his spirit or something. I know you must think I'm crazy or something, but I just have this feeling that he's there with a smile on his face.

Wow, Cassandra, that's REALLY spooky(but very cool in a way). Honestly, I truly believe John does come back on Earth to let people know he's good and not to worry about him...he was just kind, you know? Plus, I believe spirits can invade your dreams-- it's a less frightening way for a ghost to contact a human.

Kristen and Chelsea-- those dreams sound similiar to mine!! I KNEW what was going to happen to him and I couldn't stop it

Aw, thanks Kristen! I think that any true fan of his sort of has that feeling too. It's just so strange, but yet I know now that he still is here. And even if it isn't true, I still believe he is.

I was going to reply to this one last night, but I was getting a little too creeped out. Besides, my room was like pitch dark anyway, so I was getting a little scared!

I think that spirits could invade your dreams sometimes, you know? Because some nights I have dreams, and sometimes I don't. Actually, I didn't have a dream last night, so that could prove it that spirits could invade your dreams. I don't know, I'm not a genius - but I think it might be true.

I'm pretty interested in paranormal stuff, although it does creep me out. Like, I've heard of people saying that their dead relatives appear in dreams and tell them things(like how much they love them). I truly think that's their way of saying 'Oh, I'm ok...don't worry about me'. It's comforting to know they are still around.

Yeah, I think that it's pretty cool too. Sometimes I feel like there are other ghosts in my room and stuff - it's so weird. I don't think that happened to me with some of my dead relatives..don't know why though. But I dream of John a lot and stuff. All I know is that wherever he is, he will always stay in my heart.
