Question How many preferred the 1st 2 seasons Of Happy Days

How many of you , like me enjoyed the 1st two seasons of Happy Days when it was more realistic rather than, when it went before a live audience, and Fonzie became like a mythic being.
As I watched the episodes on WGN it reminded me how good the show was in the beginning, even tho it wasnt such a ratings grabber.

I do like the atmosphere of the first two years better.

Season 2 is the best of all Happy Days seasons, in my opinion.

They're the only 2 seasons worth watching. Once they get beyond them in reruns I stop watching. It went so stupid after that. I didn't think it was right that the Fonzie character took over so much.

Default Difference between the 1-2 and the rest of the seasons

I think it almost like talking about two different shows. Most people do appreciate the more realistic nature of the first 2 seasons. The later seasons created a different show with its mythical Fonzie. It did however still use Richie as the focus of going through lives many obstacles. Critically acclaimed or award winning TV and movies does not guarantee that it is very entertaining. I like all the years Richie was on for different reasons. Without Richie as the focus then it lost everything because mythical characters can support a show like this but not lead it.

I love Happy Days so much that I like all the seasons. I like the 2nd better than the first too. I think all the seasons are good in my opinion.

I prefer the shows after it started filming in front of a studio audience although the first 2 seasons aren't bad.

Well the second season of Happy Days is done on WGN and I have to say that those were the best seasons of Happy Days.
The mythical Fonzie whereas he is a miracle worker in a leather jacket is too much to take.
I know it is a TV show but the realism of the show suffered as a result, in my opinion, and Im sure plenty loved the show after the 2nd season and thats thier opinion and the ratings that followed the move to a live audience showed it was a majority opinion but I still preferred the 1st 2 seasons and consider it pure hokum after that.

happy days is a classic that NEVER jumped the shark. (which happy days coined, wrongly) all seasons were great, although different kinds of atmospheres.

never seen it. its just my honest to goodness opinion. season 1 wasn't as much of a comedy as the rest of the seasons. dont judge me like that.

Well it just goes to show what some folks consider comedy...realistic situations or inane rapping on the jukebox and a occasionial AYYYY.

Seasons 1 & 2 were, by far, THE BEST SEASONS!!! All the seasons after that SUCKED!
That RIDICULOS story "arc" where Fonzie went to Hollywood (and, of course, the entire cast went with him ) comes PAINFULLY to mind!!

Well I wouldnt say they sucked but I do say the lack of realism of the show ,when they went before a live audience ,turned me off.
