Default What was your Prom theme song?

Mine was 'Always and Forever' by Heatwave - an interesting choice since the song is from 1978 and I was a high school senior in 1989.

Our theme this year was "On This Magic Carpet Ride" and our song was "A Whole New World." The memory book listed the 1994 version by Peabo Bryson and Regina Belle (They made a HUGE mistake by listing Luther Vandross and Vanessa Williams instead ) but the DJs played the 2004 version by Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson.

I wanted "A Whole New World" as our theme song for our SENIOR year because the lyrics make more sense if it is.

Damn, I can't believe that I totally forgot. However, I do remember the song from the prom I went to during my sophomore year- "From This Moment" by Shania Twain, and my winter formal's theme was "A Moment Like This." *barf*

I don't think we had one. It's too long ago to remember

I know - I was thinking the same thing!! I remember Dead Skunk (In The Middle of The Road) was a popular song around that time, but for some reason don't think they would have used it as the prom's theme song!!

"Baby, Come to Me", I think by Patti Austin & James Ingram. I didn't even like that song to begin with. There were so many better songs on the list to vote for. When I heard that one was picked, I was like

Probably explains why I got drunk before my prom!!

Way way back, in prehistoric days....mine was Stairway To Heaven. I graduated in 1976, so I think the song was already a few years old.

Any other dinosaurs around here remember when the song, Color My World, was every prom and wedding song on the planet?

Actually, I don't really remember Color My World being used that much, but I remember "We've Only Just Begun" was used all the time!!!!
