I was doing a search on abqtrib.com for any new info about Tara Calico. I came across part of an article from 2003 saying there might be a possible suspect, but unfortunately they wanted you to pay to read the entire article. Does anyone have more information about it? Here's what they will let you read:
September 19, 2003 Fifteen years pass, and a tip emerges New information on a possible suspect in the 1988 disappearance of Tara Calico has surfaced, all because of a chance encounter at an Albuquerque hardware store. But the parents of the Rio Communities woman who went missing at 19 aren't getting their hopes up just yet. "We've been on this roller coaster for years," Patty Doel said. "We're not ready to jump on again yet." Valencia County sheriff's Detective Rene Rivera is... |

I also found some information on a boy that went missing that some think is the boy in the photo with Tara. As you know, it was first believed to be Michael Henley Jr., but his remains were later found not far from where he disappeared.

From reading the article about Tara, it would appear there were witnesses to a girl being walked around the beach by a group of men at Port Saint Joe. I just wonder if they ever had enough to go on to do possible composite sketches of these men.

There's no way she can be alive. I know about Elizabeth Smart and all, but it's been HOW MANY years for Tara?
He body (or I guess "remains") are out there, and I hope somebody finds them. |

Hi! Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think they released the other two sketches to the public. I would be interested in seeing them as well. I did read where Tara's mom thinks the the third picture (the one where she has tape across her eyes) was just a sick joke.

you might be right about them not releasing the other two photos.
doesn't it seem like at this point they should release them? what could it hurt? maybe someone would know something at that point. njf |
