Im sorry but i have to disagree with you teddybear Jackie and Laurie Metcalf(the actor) were both respectfully funny in the show and even i believe correct me if im wrong she was nominated and won for best supporting actress on roseanne but thats your opinion...

I hated the character of Nancy because it seemed like she kept changing (straight, lesbian, and then spiritial) I think at the end of the show their was no purpose for her and her character had become deluted

She was nominated for 4 Emmy's, and she won 3 of them. In my opinion, they were all very much deserved.

No, 3 Emmy's for being a great comedic actress. I do agree that John Goodman deserved one. It's a shame that he never won.

I loved Nancy's ignorance and when she was selfish. It was very funny

I didnt like Jackie in season 1, but I liked her in seasons 2-8.

John Goodman was real good in that episode ''lies my father told me'' in season 6.

I really didn't like Becky #2. I know there have been debates about which one is better but I just hated that character. I think she is the reason the show went to hell. She was a totally differnet character from Becky #1. Sarah Chalke was also a pretty bad actress, at least then. I've seen her on Scrubs and she has improoved a lot. I think the whole show pretty much went bad after she showed up because a lot of the characters changed. Mark's IQ dropped 50 points, David became a little wimp, Jackie went psycho, etc.

Sorry about the long post but I just had to say how much I did NOT like Becky #2.

John Goodman was GREAT in the show. He was one of the best characters and he definatly should have been nominated for an emmy, especially in "Lies My Father Told Me" like Mr. Knowitall said. He was great in that episode. I still get kinda choked up when I watch that.
