Default If they made a movie about Marilyn Monroe, who would play her?

Mabe one day they will make a true movie of Marilyn Monroe. I seen a coupld of movies on tv about her,but who ever is going to make a movie about her they ould have to dig up her life history, and all the other things that she did good and bad. Who would play her?

Charlez Theron would do a very good job - the two above can't act to save their souls! Marilyn is a very complicated character to portray properly.

It's weird, I was also thinking of her before I even saw your post. But she really can't act, like you said.

There was a mini-series a few years ago based on the Joyce Carol Oates novel Blonde. It starred Poppy Montgomery (of Without a Trace) as Marilyn Monroe. The mini-series itself wasn't great, but Montgomery was surprisingly good.

I agree that Charlize Theron would be a great choice for the role. She's extremely talented, and I think she could be made up to look like Marilyn.

Yeah, but I think the mention of Charlize could work. If they did her up a little she could resemble Marilyn. At least she has acting skills...

I saw a film on Star awhile ago called "Norma Jean and Marilyn" and Mira Sorvino played Marilyn. I thought the film was actually pretty good. Steven Culp played Robert Kennedy. It might have been the hair, but I thought he looked a little like Robert, too.

Yeah, I agree, I saw that movie and it wasn't bad.

I don't think Anna Nicole would be good at it. When you see their pictures side by side, they really aren't as close in looks as you'd think. (I was a huge MM fan and have had Norman Mailer's book for over 25 years and have every picture in it ingrained in my memory)! Anna Nicole is also WAY too tall to play her. Besides, no studio would risk hiring her. She might be thin now, but her drug habit isn't any better and it would be TOO close to the real Marilyn trying to get her to the studio on time I'd bet!

It's actually fairly easy to make someone up to look like Marilyn (even Madonna pulled it off), but you need an actress who can really get in to her character and I think Theron is the best bet for that.

Poppy wasn't bad, but the movie was. I wouldn't mind seeing her play Marilyn again in a better film.
