Default the comparison between I Love Lucy and another show...

A person started a poll in the General Sitcoms Questions and Discussion forum, asking you which television series you like better, "I Love Lucy" or "Leave it to Beaver". Read my post there. I straightened them out on which show was the better. I said no show will EVER come close to I Love Lucy's stature. Read all about it on that thread in the General Sitcoms Questions and Discussion forum.

Okay, you're ticking me off.

You didn't "straighten me out," in fact, I still like Leave it to Beaver. I don't care if I Love Lucy "broke the mold," I'm just not as big a fan as I am Leave it to Beaver. Why can't you respect my opinion?

Default yawn, whatever

(i'm yawning right now.) I straightened everyone out telling them and you which is the better show. Your Leave it to Beaver wouldnt exist without Lucille Ball. Dont get me wrong, Leave it to Beaver is a great show, but it really wouldnt exist as would any show if it wasnt for this one. they are uncomparable. i dont want i love lucy compared to any show, i want the show to stand up on a pedastool. this isnt an opinion, btw, its true. did any other tv show do what lucy did? she did what no one ever dreamed she would do. no show can come close to i love lucy's stature, get that through your head.

Okay, but you're wrong here. Whether I think Leave it to Beaver is better than I Love Lucy is, in fact, an OPINION.

I wasn't comparing the shows together in the first place! I'm not the one who made that topic. But I do like Leave it to Beaver better. I do like I Love Lucy, but not as much as Leave it to Beaver. I don't give a damn if it broke any mold or not, I find Leave it to Beaver much more entertaining, and I'm more of a fan of that show.

I don't care!!! I like some shows better than I Love Lucy. That doesn't mean every time I mention a show other than Lucy you should give me some lecture on how it broke the mold. I just happen to like Leave it to Beaver, why can't you respect my opinion?

Default i dont mean that

no, you're interpreting it the wrong way. i am just saying i dont like comparing one show to a TOTALLY different show. i originally said i respect all of your opinions, but i still do think that lucy was groundbreaking in every way. we have two totally different outlooks, thats all! i love lucy isnt even my personal favorite, but it is definately up there. i just think it was groundbreaking. i'm not telling you what show to like and what show to hate. can we stop this before it gets alot deeper and we get banned from the boards like a few others have managed to do?

We're talking about two great shows here... and totally different shows... I L Lucy could be considered the "Beatles" of TV...the best ever... however, L I T Beaver was a great, great show as well... I also prefer to watch my favorite LITB ep as opposed to my favorite I L L ep... probably because I've seen Lucy so many more times, as it's never been off the air...

I Love Lucy had no talented kids in the show, whereas the kids on LITB were immensely talented actors...probably the most natural kids any tv show ever had... no way you could get a group of kids today from age 7 to 17 (i.e. Beaver and his friends ages at the beginning of the show through Wally and his friends' ages at the end of the show) to act as good as those kids from Mayfield...

I'm one of the biggest Lucy fans around and will agree that nothing is better or comes close to her work, BUT...It is my opinion! Just as it's everyone else's who choose to disagree or like something more. Why are you fighting about it?

Actually, it would have. Leave It To Beaver followed nothing that I Love Lucy paved the way for. It was shot single camera without a live-audience.

The arguement is over barwars. I know it was stupid, OK? I don't understand why you're trying to make me look like a horse's ass lately, I guess you're still mad at me from the 20 shows you hate post, another which I regretted and apologized numerous times, but you haven't responded once.
