Why are they ending the series in a cliffhanger? Is the ABC way of rubbing it in that it was such a big failure or what? I'm still trying to figure this one out. I'm a little confused.

I hope that "Jake In Progress" is going to end the series on a sad note. I'm watching this episode, one last time.

Maybe because when they taped this episode months ago--before the series even premiered, it was just a season finale.
