Default Pav once again, did you think it was odd when........

Jack opened the door and Larry entered, no one in the audience appluaded? All those years of being on Three;s Company and he makes a guest spot on Three;s a Crowd and no one single person in the audience clapped when he was seen.

Yeah that was odd, but I think there was a scene before that that was edited in syndication.

If there was another scene it wasn't with Larry because it was pretty obvious that was the first apperance of Larry in that episode from Jack's reaction when he opened the door.

I just wonder why Jack would be so suprised to see Larry, especially since they were best friends and the restaurant was only a mile away from the old apartment building? You would think they would have stayed in touch and remained friends.

I agree with you, since Larry was in the same area it would have made more sense to have him appeared more than once on Three's a Crowd

He chose not to. The actor was given an opportunity to be a recurring guest star on Three's a Crowd or to star in his own pilot which may or may not have sold. He chose the latter, even though the pilot failed. He's quoted in Chris Mann's wonderful book Come and Knock on Our Door that he didn't regret his decision one bit.

In any case, your reasoning makes sense, and it made sense to the producers as well since they tried to get Richard Kline on board, but he was the one who said no alas. Just wanted to point this out...
