Default 4/20 ep: Kevin and Leah - together for 44 seconds tonight!

Seriously, what gives? The show started tonight with Doug talking to Deacon as they were going to leave the house to go to the Mets game. Carrie came downstairs and for :25 they were in the same scene together. Then at the game, Carrie had to brush Doug off so he wouldn't go into the club box after he dumped the hot dog on her client and got her outfit dirty. They were in the same scene for :19 seconds together. Then Deacon shared scenes with Doug. Carrie shared scenes with Spence and Arthur hosted a party for like, the first time EVER.

Again, that's a 22 minutes episode that Kevin and Leah were together for all of :44 seconds tonight. That's just odd. And again, Arthur was totally out of the scenes with either of them too.

That's just wrong!......so is SOMETHING wrong?

Yeah, it is a bit weird that they haven't been in scenes together lately, but I still loved tonight's episode. I thought it was hilarious all around.

WTF is going on here??

I thought it was OK, not great. Carrie/Spence was fun but the best part was Arthur/Holly. Those two are being like the main couple on this show.

Ok, so I e-mailed Leah's webmaster asking if he knew what was going on. I told him that many people have been wondering about what's going on with Kevin/Leah, and their lack of scenes together.

This was his response:

Here's what I do know, from my own experience: In the show that aired last night about Doug ruining a meeting with Carrie's client at the Mets game, the reason that they were not in any scenes together is that Kevin wasn't even there for the taping. All his scenes were shot ahead of time. He was in Europe at that time, doing promotion for his movie, "Hitch." Thus, they couldn't have any scenes together. I know that he had been spending a lot of time doing things to promote that movie, and that might explain what people may have observed.

I'm sure this is the explanation for the past 3 (or was it 4?) episodes where they barely had any scenes together. It's just a conflict of schedules. But hopefully they will start having more scenes together soon.

Thanks a lot for asking. I guess we expected that, but I wish the show wouldn't suffer like this because of 'Hitch'.

On getting a lucid response from Leah`s site.

What a rediculous way to film the show. Why not just have Doug out of town? Doug could have been away taking care of his mom. He could have had a mental breakdown, and put in the Hospital or something. LOL Anything would have been better then this.

I think it would have been worse with Doug gone. Even though they weren't in scenes together, I think it's vital for the main cast to be featured in an episode. Maybe one or two episodes without one of the main characters would work, but I think after with 3 or 4, ratings would start to drop. The general audience wants to see the entire main cast. Really, I don't think this week's episode was bad at all. Even though Doug and Carrie didn't have scenes together, I still found humor throughout the entire thing. I personally feel people are making way too big a deal out of it. Things will return to normal eventually.

Oh I agree, I dont think its that big of a deal I definately still think the episodes are still funny, and I agree, he shouldn't be gone completely from the show, but i do think its even better when they are all together
It'll blow over.

I think that response is full of bull. Carrie and Doug did have two scenes together ( at home in the beginning and at the stadium). I can't believe that Kevin could not stay to do more than 44 seconds with Carrie. Im sorry, i just dont buy it.

It's good to see Kevin and Leah together again. It's like the show is back to normal. The 8th season has been great so far. I hope they don't start acting like they did last year-hardly sharing a scene 2gether-that sucked.
