Default Old case - The Springfield Three

Is anyone familiar with the case of a mother, her teenage daughter and the daughter's friend who disappeared several years ago (from the St. Louis area, I believe). I remember seeing this case profiled one time...but can't remember if it was on Unsolved Mysteries or America's Most Wanted (I watch both of them on a fairly regular basis). It seems like they disappeared on a Friday or Saturday night and it was either the girls high school graduation weekend or the last weekend before school let out. Authorities did not believe the girls ran away because the mother was also missing but they had very few leads to follow up on.

Yup, i know this one. It was Stacy McCall, Sherrell Levitt and Suzanne Streeter. They disappeared in 92 from Sprigfield, MO.

I don't remember this being on UM or AMW, but it was on one of the first 48 hours with Dan Rather and they showed the first 48 hours of searching for the three of them....mainly with the McCall family (Sherrell was Suzannes mother). It was really sad to watch, but i always remember that they would figure this one out. I still cannot believe that three people could be taken against there will and no one has ever been caught. I think they are all dead but i would think someone would have had to had something in their background that caused this to happen. I can't see a random person going into there house at 3AM and taking all three of them. So sad. Stacy seems to have been in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Thanks, ddelta. That is the case I was thinking of. I believe, as you do, that this was most likely not a random act. I also believe more than one person was involved.

I am pretty positive they have never been found. They thought maybe they were buried in a hosptial parking lot but nothing ever came of it.
