Why is there so many more cancer deaths, and diagnosis now than ever before? What do you think is causing it? Dont you think its happening to more and more people now?

It is happening more often. That is because we are poisoning ourselves and our air. Exposed to unnatural chemicals that did not exist 100 years ago, our bodies die. There could be other factors. But that is my take.

I think we can account for the increase in skin cancers by saying that the sun is at its hottest now than ever before. Its impossible to lie in the sun all day now without getting severely burnt.Plus, people are still negligent, and aren't wearing enough sunscreen for protection. I agree with you also Sweet Brunette that more people have cancer now than ever before. Its like everyone knows someone who has cancer,or has died from it.

Its definitely our environment all around us. Not just in what we eat, but creams, and soaps we use, the air, in carpets, furniture - everything!
The good news is that less people are dying in comparison. I remember when I was a kid in the 60s and 70s - you heard that someone had cancer, and it was basically a death sentence. It was like hearing of someone with AIDS in the 80s - you knew there was little or no hope. Now when we hear cancer, we know that depending on the stage, its treatable. Like AIDS - all you ever heard was that someone was "dying of AIDS" - now more and more I'm hearing about "living with AIDS or HIV". It's slow (especially when you have family members affected), but they're have made a lot of progress with the diseases. |

There are so many different types of it, and so many different ways of getting it, you just can't tell why people get it in a lot of cases, which makes it that much more worse.

Basically, if you did everything in your power to avoid getting cancer, you'd be living in a bubble. And then you'd probably get it anyway. So basically just live your life, have fun.
