At some point during childhood, every son dreams about following in his
father's footsteps. Whether he's a doctor, lawyer, mailman or engineer,
dad is a little boy's biggest hero. But for a rare few sons, dad is also a
hero to every other kid in the country, and they all want to be just like
him! Imagine the thrill of watching pop slay the Romans as "Spartacus" or
appear as a guest on "The Ed Sullivan Show." Doesn't every father have a
private jet and a steady throng of screaming fans? What's not to love about
having a showbiz dad?
Well for one thing, it's hard to find time to play catch when he's spending
18 hours a day on location. And it's no fun to catch poppa sleeping next to
that famous lady who's not mommy. Sure, Hollywood dads aren't always perfect, but they sure are privileged. And it's only natural for their sons
to want a piece of the action, too.
In this two-hour Father's Day special, Biography will explore the funny, fearsome and frustrating facets of celebrity fatherhood. Famous dads
will divulge how they spend their quality time with the kids. And their
equally successful sons will reveal how they rode a silver spoon to the silver
screen. So put away the soap-on-a-rope and throw a couple steaks on the
grill. This is Father's Day-Hollywood style.
