Default "Night Court" shocker!!!!

Dear "Night Court" enthusiasts,
What you are about to see is NO JOKE!!! When I saw this my mouth just about hit the floor. I'm not kidding.

Go to this link:

http://www.rockfordsquire.com/033105/topnews.htm

scroll to about halfway down the page till you reach the article on Richard Moll

You have to see it to believe it.

This has got to be a joke. Richard Moll played in a show on Nick and he looked the same as he did on Night Court.

I think it's PARTIALLY true. You can tell the guy in the pic has the same nose as "Bull" did. I ran a google for images and there are other pics of him at least looking VERY similar - the grey hair and beard, but he's definitely still as tall as he ever was. I mean, how the heck do you shave 13 inches off someone? Even if he were to have had extensive orthopedic surgery on the bones in his legs, there's no way they could take that much bone out - he'd look ridiculous with a huge body on tiny little legs!!!

They also show him with another actor who's 5'11" and Richard still towers above him.

Who comes up with these things?!

I felt the same way, but he started the surgeries in 1998. It would depend on when the Nick episode was filmed. I'm with you though. I thought at first it was a joke, but the article seemed all to real for me.

http://www.cnn.com/2003/SHOWBIZ/News...ple.watn.moll/

There's a photo of Richard on the set of Street Smarts in 2003 in the article, FWIW.

The article, written in 2003, mentions that Richard, at the writing of the article, was 6'8"

Something else has to be noticed when reading that particular archive - the date. March 31, 2005. As it's a weekly publication: That means that that was THAT week's April Fools edition.

I thought so!!!

As I said, picture Richard with little legs (the only place you can reduce height - anywhere else would crush his organs or leave him paralzed)!!

Seth - you're going to be in the running for most joke debunking for the SO Oscars!

Journalist Kevin Murphy is a humorous human being. The man in the picture really is named Richard Moll and he is a council member in Rockford Missouri. It's one of those names the same but the man is not our Richard. I made you think though, didn't I?

To set the record straight. The article was printed on April Fool's Day and really did fool a lot of people. An article was printed on the hoax. It was very funny.

...and there I was looking ever so closely at that pic and wondering if my eyes were decieving me.

I thought this was a hoax! But it was still funny, anyway! Imagine Richard with shorter legs on a large body?

BTW, a couple of years ago, I was watching an ep. of the Parent Hood on TBS and the alledged "axe murderer" on that one ep I saw was none other than Richard Moll! That's right, Richard Moll!

He was still as tall as ever and I saw him with slightly longer, grayer hair, complete w/ a gray beard to boot!

And let's not forget his appearance on a ep. of Martin shortly after NC was cancelled where he played the role of a criminal as a phony cop that stole everything out of people's homes.
