Apr. 18 (ABC7) — Former late-night talk show host Tom Snyder has announced he's fighting cancer.

On his website, Snyder says he has chronic lymphocytic leukemia and that doctors tell him it's treatable.

Snyder hosted talk shows on both NBC and CBS and had been a news anchor in New York City.

His brother has been diagnosed with the same disease.
